CALTRANS - State Route 74 Raised Curb Median Safety Project
The City of Hemet continues to work with Caltrans and our local businesses that might be affected by the future Caltrans safety project which proposes to construct a raised curb median on State Route 74 (SR 74) from West Acacia Avenue to Ramona Expressway. The plans posted here are in draft format and are subject to change. Caltrans expects to build the project in 2018.
Public Outreach Opportunities
The City will be hosting two business outreach meetings to discuss the proposed project and logical placement of median breaks and/or alternative methods of treatment. The intent of these meetings is not to focus on whether or not the project is viable, but if it were built, what best solution could be.
