Hemet Library users now have access to MORE e-books!
Palace is a free, easy-to-use e-reader app that lets you find, check out, and read or listen to books from your local library.
It’s been said that libraries are “palaces for the people” and the Palace app gives you instant access to your local “palace” any time, right from the palm of your hand.
All you need to sign up is your Hemet Public Library card!
The Palace app is built and maintained by The Palace Project, a not-for-profit division of LYRASIS working in partnership with Digital Public Library of America with funding from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and the California State Library.
ZIP BOOK's are here!
ZIP Books Grant is brought to you by The California State Library.
Do you have a request for books to be added to the Hemet Public Library? ZIP book is the way to do this. You may request up to 2 books a month on your library card. Each book may cost no more than $35.00. Your library card must be in good standing, meaning that you do not have any late books, or owe over $15.00.
Best Sellers or books that have been published within the last six months may not be requested. The Library makes every effort to purchase requested books but cannot purchase everything including text books.
If your request is added to the Hemet Public Library, it will be sent directly to you from amazon.com. When you have finished, return the book in the 24/7 book return along with the packing slip and we'll do the rest! If the book is not returned to the Library in a timely manner, our regular checkout period is 3 weeks, you will be charged the full replacement cost and a processing fee.
We will need your email, phone number and mailing address so that we may contact you if we have any questions. Click here to request a ZIP Book.
