City of Hemet Open Recruitment for Citizens to Serve on Committees/Commissions

The City of Hemet is currently seeking applicants/volunteers to fill the following positions:

MOBILE HOME RENT REVIEW COMMISSION

REQUIREMENTS

Must be 18 years old. The commission meets by request only to discharge the responsibilities of the Commission. Meeting locations will be noted on all Commission agendas. Notices for the meetings will follow the Ralph M. Brown Act. Agendas will be posted online and at City Hall. The commission consists of five members appointed by the City Council to 3 year terms. The Commission shall be made up of one mobile home park owner, one mobile home park renter and three "at large" residents who do not live in mobile home rental parks. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be at least 18 years old and a City resident within the City of Hemet or sphere of influence. The Board meets the 3rd Friday of each Month and with the duties as outlined in the Hemet Municipal Code and the provisions in California Education Code 18910 et. Seq. The Board consists of five (5) members appointed by the City Council to a 3-year term.

REQUIREMENTS

In accordance with Hemet City Ordinance No. 1918, the Measure U Citizen Oversight Committee consists of seven (7) members appointed by the City Council to serve a two (2) year term. The purpose of the Committee is to independently review and advise upon the City’s proposed expenditures of Measure U Funds as well as the actual expenditures of Measure U Funds and review of the annual audit conducted of Measure u Funds as required by the Ordinance. Eligible community members must reside within the City limits of the sphere of influence or own a business having its primary offices located within the City limits. A majority (4 or more) of the Committee members shall be residents of the City of Hemet.
