Notice to Hemet Lodging Providers: Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) Payments Now Online!

The City of Hemet values its partnership with our local lodging community and is pleased to introduce an updated, more streamlined way to remit your Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) payments. As part of this improvement, the City has partnered with HdL Companies to offer a convenient, secure, and efficient online system to file TOT returns and process payments. This online platform will be the City’s preferred method for receiving TOT filings and payments.

How to File Your TOT Online:

Access the Portal: Visit the City of Hemet's website at https://hemet.hdlgov.com and locate the TOT Portal section. Click the blue “Go to TOT Portal” button to be redirected to the TOT Processing Center.

Log In to Your Account: Enter your provided account number and PIN to access your account. This step ensures secure access and links your tax filings to your specific lodging establishment.

File and Pay TOT: Once logged in, select “File and Pay TOT” from the main menu. Here, you’ll be guided through a series of prompts to file your return. For added convenience, you can choose to make payments via electronic check or credit card, providing a smooth, hassle-free transaction process.

Tip: Filing online not only saves time but also helps ensure accuracy, reducing the potential for delays or errors that can arise from manual submission.

Filing Frequency: Lodging providers should continue to file TOT returns quarterly unless notified otherwise.
