Foreclosure Prevention Counseling (PDF)
The Fair Housing Council is offering Free foreclosure prevention counseling to homeowners who have experienced a financial hardship and are finding it difficult to make their mortgage payments. Counseling will help homeowners gain a better understanding of loss mitigation options, as well as tips on how to effectively communicate with their lender. Homeowners will also learn credit management skills which will help them understand how to budget in tough financial times.

Fair Housing Council of Riverside CountyInc. is a non-profit agency that offers confidential counseling to help you review your current financial situation and develop a financial plan to meet your financial needs. The counseling session is designed to help you develop a monthly spending plan and discuss possible options that enable you to meet your mortgage obligations. A Counselor will also contact your lender to provide mediation services and help you apply for loan modifications and other workout programs. Neighborhood Partnership Housing Service (NPHS) NPHS is a non-profit and its team of Homeownership Specialists offer free foreclosure prevention counseling to individuals who may be facing a possible foreclosure situation. By acting as a liaison between you and your mortgage company, NPHS' highly trained counselors work diligently to help make mortgage payments more affordable if possible. Hope Now is staffed with HUD-approved credit counselors to assist with foreclosure prevention. Counselors are trained to set up a plan of action designed just for you and your situation. Counselors provide in-depth debt management, credit counseling, and overall foreclosure counseling. Springboard Nonprofit Consumer Credit Management is a non-profit community service agency that offers personal financial education and assistance with money, credit and debt management through confidential counseling.
